Eternalsthe latest Marvel Studios movie directed by the Oscar winner Chloe Zhao, finally landed on Disney Plus and, as usual, prepared a couple of post-credit scenes (yes, two) that set the tone for what we can enjoy in the next projects of the ambitious studio. Here’s a closer look at what they mean for the future of Phase 4 and beyond…

First of the Eternals post credits scenes
This first sequence happens in the middle of the credits of Eternals. Thena (Angelina Jolie), Druig (Barry Keoghan) and Makkari (Lauren Ridloff) are aboard the Domo ship ready to prepare for their next mission: find other Eternals. But their plans are interrupted, so to speak, when they hear a noise that leads them to discover a portal that serves to introduce pip the troll (voiced by Patton Oswalt) and, of course, to Erosbetter known as starfox and older brother of Thanos. The surprise: Starfox is played by Harry Styles (Dunkirk).
In Eternals, Eros introduces himself as an Eternal and lets our heroes know that he will help them find others of their kind. “Your friends (Sersei, Kingo, etc.) are in deep trouble and we know where to find them,” says Eros referring to the group that was captured by Arishem the Judge, leader of the Celestials.
While Eros has fought on the side of the good guys and even allied himself with the Avengers, he has also pushed the boundaries of evil (perhaps not as much as Thanos). So we will have to wait for the direction the character will take within the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
Of course, it is not unreasonable to think that when they find themselves in outer space, the characters of Eternals cross paths with Captain Marvel, Thor or the Guardians of the Galaxy. In fact, in the comics Pip the Troll is kidnapped by the Universal Church of Truth, but runs into adam warlock, who saved him from being executed. Let’s remember that Will Poulter will be Adam Warlock in Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3.
Second of the Eternals post credits scenes
This second sequence happens at the end of the credits of Eternals. The protagonist of this scene is Dane Whitman (Kit Harington) and it happens after he planned to reveal a secret to Sersi before she was captured by Arishem the Judge.
Dane finds himself face to face with a mysterious box containing a sword (presumably the Ebony Sword, one of the most powerful weapons in the Marvel Universe) accompanied by a Latin text that says: “death is my reward”. Despite such warning, Dane wants to do everything in his power to save Sersi; so he prepares to wield the sword, but before he can we hear a mysterious voice in off: “Are you sure you’re ready for that, Mr. Whitman?”.
The sword already anticipates two possibilities around the character of Kit Harington: the first is that we could see the debut of Black Knight (Black Knight) in a possible sequel to Eternals and the second is that a solo movie of the character is announced. It should be added that in the comics, whoever owns the sword becomes a ruthless warrior; however, although the sword is indestructible, it carries with it a curse: to induce uncontrolled violence to those who wield it.

But whose is the mysterious voice?
Filmmaker Chloé Zhao confirmed that the voice in off belonging toMahershala Alitwice winner of the Oscar for Best Supporting Actor for his roles inmoonlit(2016) by Barry Jenkins andGreen Book(2018) by Peter Farrelly. Yes, the actor who will bring Blade to life in the MCU.
“That was the voice of one of my favorite superheroes, Mr. Blade himself,” Zhao said (via INSIDER).
In this way we could deduce that the Vampire Hunter could become a kind of mentor for Black Knight to discover the supernatural powers of the sword and that we will even see them together in the next solo film of Bladeof which few details are yet available.
