It should be noted that the names of Nova (Marvel), Neo (Matrix), Phoenix (Dark Phoenix, from X-Men), Eve (WALL E) and Blossom (90s TV series) were ranked as another of the most popular baby names of 2021, but outside of the superhero, film and television category. Although, of course, we cannot avoid catching the references.

The Babycentre documents that in 2021, superhero names became more popular. In that sense, Loki it doubled its records outside of the top 100 as the most popular name designated to baby boys. While the most popular name among girls was Sylvie (Laufeydottir), the female variant of Loki.
The Avengers are still so popular after Avengers: Endgame. The data show that in 2021 there are many baby boys named Tony (Hombre de Hierro), Steve (Captain America), Scott (Ant-Man) and Thor they triumphed outside of the top 100. But Loki is not the only villain admired by fans of La Casa de las Ideas. The name of Thanos, also remains the most popular name, after its debut in the ranking last year.


Disney
Babycentre highlights that the influence of the Disney Plus platform in homes inspired many parents. Stripe, from the tape Raya and the last dragon, shone out of the top 100 as the most used to baptize girls and Luca, from the Disney film of the same name, remained at number 29 in the ranking of males.

Netflix
Disney Plus is not the only platform streaming with strong influence on his audience. The red ‘N’ platform does the same with its popular series: Bridgerton, Sex education, You and The Squid Game.
From Bridgerton, the most popular name was Penelope (Featherington), which is located in position 71 of the ranking. From The Squid Game stand out Abdul (Ali), who ranks number 90 in the top 100.
