The Duffer brothers released a letter revealing the premiere date for Stranger Things 4 and confirming that the finale will come in season 5.
After several months of speculation and promotions, Netflix finally confirmed the release dates for Stranger Things 4.
Yes, we say “the” because the streaming platform will repeat the methodology of its other original productions, segmenting the season into 2 blocks. The first part will debut on May 27, while the second part will arrive 5 weeks later on July 1, with a season that promises to be the most ambitious in scale and narrative depth to date.
But that’s not all, the Duffer brothers, showrunners of the series, published a letter to fans revealing that the end is closer than expected: “Seven years ago we outlined the entire story arc of Stranger Things. At the time, we thought we were going to need four or five seasons to tell this story. While four won’t be enough (and you’ll see why), we’re getting closer to the epic conclusion. Stranger Things 4 will be the penultimate and Stranger Things 5 will mark the end.

For season 5 there is no release date at the moment, but with the scale and ambition that Stranger Things 4 had, it is likely that we will not have news until the end of 2023, beginning of 2024.
Stranger Things 4 entry confirms its premiere date and Netflix teases the series finale was first featured on AmericanMovies.
