Under the production of Carmen Armendáriz (the marked time), TelevisaUnivision began recording the first biographical series based on the life of María Félix. Sandra Echeverria (the usurper), Ximena Romo (tell me when you) and Abril Vergara will be in charge of interpreting the iconic actress at different stages of her life.
To create the scripts, the journalistic work and testimonies of the people who were closest to the interpreter were taken as a basis. Luis Martínez de Anda, her right-hand man and her universal heir, served as a consultant.
Although it does not yet have a definitive title, this will be the first series that portrays the life of this icon of Mexican cinema that marked several generations. More than 20 years after his death, María Félix continues to inspire many women.
On the impact they want to create on the audience, this is what Vincenzo Gratteri, SVP of Development at ViX Plus said:

Carmen Armendáriz, producer of the bioseries, stated the following:

Who will participate in the María Félix series?
The authorized biographical series of María Félix will feature Mexican television personalities such as Guillermo García Cantú, Ana Bertha Espín and Helena Rojo. They are joined by new talents such as Josh Gutiérrez, Markin López and the aforementioned April Vergara.
A team made up mostly of women will lead the production. Mafer Suarez (Killer women) will direct all the episodes, while the script was written by Larissa Andrade, Alejandro Gerber, Tania Tinajero and Gabriela Rodríguez.
ViX will be the new service from streaming of the TelevisaUnivision conglomerate. In its first year, it will offer up to 50,000 hours of content. For its part, the Plus version will premiere in the second half of 2022, will require a paid subscription and will feature Premium content and original productions, including the María Félix bioseries.
