Joe and Anthony Russo are no strangers to the Netflix catalog. However, there is another film project that the Russos have been developing for years and that finally found a home thanks to the king of streaming. It is a science fiction film that, in addition to showing off the directors of the box office Avengers: Endgame (2019), will have the famous Millie Bobby Brown as protagonist.
The project in question is entitled The Electric State, and consists of a future film adaptation of the homonymous graphic novel, published in 2018 in the name of the Swedish author Simon Stålenhag. Set in a future where humans and robots live in harmony, the film will follow an orphaned teenager searching for her missing younger brother, with the help of an enigmatic robot and an eccentric homeless man.
Under the direction of those responsible for Avengers: Endgame, Millie Bobby Brown will personify that adventurous girl, and at the moment, she is the only confirmed member of the cast. On the other hand, sources of dead line they assure that Chris Pratt is in negotiations with AGBO —the Russo brothers’ production house— to assume one of the star roles.
