She comes from dabbling in the Christmas genre with comedy Happiest Season and to play Princess Diana of Wales in the drama Spencer. However, the next step in the famous actress’s career has a science fiction flavor. This week, Kristen Stewart revealed that she will star in a film that, according to her hint, will be about a love story in space.
In conversation with EW, Kristen Stewart stated that she will star in a drama high-concept of Science fiction. There he will share credits with the South Korean Steven yeun, who just this year aspired to the Oscar for Best Actor thanks to the endearing Minari. The actor also revealed a very brief synopsis of the enigmatic project, which raises many more questions than answers.
“Actually, it is a love story between a satellite and a buoy [espacial]. It is difficult to explain. I hope not to spoil it, because it is a script written in a revolutionary way, “he said.
And that’s all we know about the aforementioned tape. Who directs, who writes and who produces is unknown. For now, having two interpreters of the caliber of Stewart and Yeun is enough to raise expectations in the public. Likewise, the use of the adjective “revolutionary” is always a good hook and at least the premise points to something completely sui generis.
At the moment, Kristen Stewart has another upcoming science fiction film, which is in post-production. Is about Crimes of the Future, directed by David Cronenberg and whose cast is complemented by Léa Seydoux and Viggo Mortensen. A synopsis of IMDb suggests that this horror film will delve into human metamorphosis on the occasion of the “synthetic environment” of “a not-too-distant future.”
In 2020, Stewart starred in Underwater, a feature film also typecast in the sci-fi, where a group of underwater researchers discover hostile creatures in the depths of the sea. For his part, Steven Yeun also has experience in the genre, thanks to titles such as Ok and the animated series Invincible, where he gives voice to the titular superhero.
The next commercial premiere with Kristen Stewart will be Spencer, under the direction of Pablo Larraín. It will hit theaters in the United States on November 5. For Mexico, there is no official release date yet.
The entry Kristen Stewart to Make Sci-Fi Movie with Steven Yeun was first published on Cinema PREMIERE.
