Iron Maiden and Metallica reacted to their mentions in Stranger Things

After the premiere of the end of stranger things not only the series became a trend, but also the music of Metallica and Iron Maiden. One of the fortunes that the Show is that opportunity to rediscover the eighties classics (of all kinds). Or if you are part of the young generations, even discovering them for the first time.

Thanks to an incredible and critical scene where Eddie’s character plays “Master of Puppets” to create a distraction upside down, Metallica and their music became more present than ever. The sequence is coupled with another in which Max tries to escape from the evil Vecna. And without a doubt the suspense and the music of the band make a click Awesome.

Via Instagram, the group recognized the effort. But not only that, but they felt honored that their song was part of “such a fundamental scene” for history.

“The way The Duffer Brothers have incorporated music into Stranger Things has always been on another level. So we were beyond excited that they didn’t just include “Master of Puppets” on the show. But that they had such a fundamental scene built around them.

We were all excited to see the end result and when we saw it we were totally blown away. It’s so extremely well done, so much so that some people were able to guess the song just by looking at a few seconds of Joseph Quinn’s hands in the trailer. How cool is that? It’s an incredible honor to be such an important part of Eddie’s journey and to once again be in the company of all the other incredible artists featured on the show.”

On the other hand Iron Maiden also had something to say about it. Once again, the character of Eddie is the one who is at the center of the whole thing. In a scene from the fourth season, the character played by Joseph Quinn holds a cassette of said group and shows it to Robin to shout: This is music!

The members of Iron Maiden gave their approval to such a statement. And they even wrote on Twitter: “Verified Edie. We are with you”.

After the end of stranger things, Metallica managed to increase their plays on streaming music services like Spotify. During the last weekend (via) the song “Master of Puppets” increased his performance of views by 417 percent in Mexico. That is, five times more than usual.

The song charted internationally at number 26 on Spotify’s Global Top 50. An almost similar to what happened with the Kate Bush song, “Running Up the Hill” that sounded during the fourth episode of the recent season. And it became a trend in practically all social networks.

Recently the official channels of the series confirmed that the fifth and final season of stranger thingsIt will hit the public in 2024.

The entry Iron Maiden and Metallica reacted to their mentions in Stranger Things was published first in Cinema PREMIERE.
