Hawkeye (now available on Disney Plus) is the new Marvel Studios series that puts the skilled avenging archer at the epicenter, Clint barton, on a new mission to unmask a criminal organization in New York City after Thanos’ Blip. However, his heroic labors will not be done alone, as he will be accompanied by a young apprentice named Kate bishop, who will become your best ally and ready to inherit the mantle. Do not miss the details of the series and everything he told us Trinh tran, executive producer of Show Marvel Christmas.
What is it about?
Hawkeyeby Marvel is inspired by the comic book series Hawkeye, by Matt Fraction and David Aja, whose plot explores the routine life of Clint Barton and not that of the superhero. Although, of course, he does not skimp on presenting tense moments full of action.
The series is set in New York City and on Christmas Eve. Hawkeye brings back Clint Barton (Jeremy Renner) with a very simple mission: to get back to his family for Christmas. But when the ghosts of his past appear (the time when he assumed the identity of Ronin after the snap of Thanos), Hawkeye must team up with an enthusiastic 22-year-old archer named Kate Bishop (Hailee Steinfeld), who turns out to be his biggest fan. and a tenacious ally and apprentice to unravel a criminal organization.
Recall that the character of Clint Barton made his first appearance in the MCU through a cameo in Thor (2011). Later we saw him save the world in the Avengers (2012). Nevertheless, Avengers: Age of Ultron (2015) was the watershed that gave meaning to the character. Then we saw him as an ally of Captain America in Captain America: Civil War (2016) and returned in Avengers: Endgame (2019) to help our heroes defeat Thanos. However, the 5 years prior to the snap, the archer hung the identity of Hawkeye in the closet and transformed to the “dark side” assuming the identity of Ronin, facts that will resonate in the plot of the Disney Plus series.
According to the Marvel timeline, the Serie Hawkeye is located two years after the events of Avengers: Endgame. Director Rhys Thomas spoke with GamesRadar to confirm that the Show It happens during Christmas 2025.

Who is Trinh Tran, Executive Producer of Hawkeye?
Trinh tranCurrently, she works as a creative developer at Marvel Studios. But his first foray into the MCU was as a production assistant on Hombre de Hierro (2008); later she held the position of creative executive in Captain America and the Winter Soldier and the associate producer of Captain America: Civil War and, most recently, as an executive producer onAvengers: Infinity War and Avengers Endgame. Having headlined two of the studio’s most ambitious events on the big screen, now is the time for Trinh Tran to embark on a new adventure in streaming as executive producer of Hawkeye, the new Disney Plus original series.
We chat exclusively with Trinh tran, who told us about his leap from the big screen to the small screen with Hawkeye, which was driven by a desire to want to get involved in a more personal project and away from the colossal make-up of the last two installments of The Avengers.
«I think one of the reasons I wanted to do Hawkeye it’s because he was completely on the end of the spectrum with the end of the world. A ladder where all the heroes are trying to save the universe. The series was like a personal instinct because it was about a more individual, emotional and family oriented approach. And, out of all the characters, it made sense that Clint Barton had that because he’s one of the few with a family and we wanted to dig into how he’s trying to get his family back, especially after the ending. So love the look of a smaller, personal story for Clinton Barton and Kate Bishop«.
The MCU’s gallery of superheroes is very extensive, whose characters boast great powers and abilities (with the exception of Natasha Romanoff and Sam Wilson, to name a few). Hawkeye it breaks the established molds and, in fact, both Clint Barton and Kate Bishop redefine the concept of superhero. Or so Trinh Tran believes it, because for her the pair of archers is very special, in this vast universe, thanks to their extraordinary humanity, a quality with which any of us can identify.
“I think that’s what makes them special, that they are one of the most relatable characters. I hope the message of the show gets across, that people see it, and that he can push himself to be the best version of himself, work hard, and do the right thing. Clint Barton and Kate Bishop are very skilled at what they do because they train hard, and they work hard. And because they don’t have those elements of a superhero with super powers, like the ability to heal because they get injured anyway, just like you or me. And I think that’s the aspect that makes them as realistic and as human as possible, that people can admire them and say: “You know what, we can also do what they do”.
Finally, the executive producer revealed the elements that they wanted to highlight to put together the fun dynamic that we see on screen between Clint Barton and Kate Bishop:
«The light-hearted humor and the jokes between Clint and Kate were very important elements that we wanted to convey in this series. He’s a different side of Clint that we haven’t seen before. We wanted to keep what we had established for his character, but we also wanted to bring out a different side of him that was really fun. With Kate Bishop we wanted her character to come into the MCU and do it the same way Clint did. She is almost the polar opposite of who he is in terms of energy, intelligence and drives. I think that makes it such a fun dynamic between Clinton and Kate that it’s entertaining to watch. ”
