In charge of the French production company Cyber Group Studios, Final Fantasy IX will come to the small screen in an animated adaptation for boys.
Video game adaptations are going through a moment of enormous expansion. We already have more than a dozen productions on the list that will reach both the cinema and the small screen and now we have to add one more to the list.
The French study Cyber Group announced that it will start working on a Final Fantasy IX animated series, with the particularity that production will be aimed at a child audience, more precisely at a range of 8 to 13 years of age.

The animated series, which has a release date of late 2021 / early 2022, will be co-produced by Square Enix, which will oversee the project to maintain successful fidelity with the lore of the game.
