Cowboy Bebop – Premiere, Cast and First Look at Netflix Live Action

In an interview with Entertainment Weekly, the co-showrunner André Nemec assured that the version Netflix will not be completely aremakeonlive-actionfrom the anime, but will expand the canon with some original stories.

“I promise we will never take the original anime away from the purists. It will always exist. But I am very excited about the stories that we are telling. Distribution

John cho(Star Trek; Searching) will star in the production as Spike Spiegel, who is described as a sarcastic “cowboyWith a deadly smile that is struck by his criminal past, which puts the team in the crosshairs of the most deadly criminal organization in the solar system: the Syndicate.

Production team

The Serie live-action from Cowboy bebop is co-produced by Netflix and Tomorrow Studios. The second is a spin-off company between ITV Studios and producer Marty Adelstein, best known for his work on Prison Break, Teen wolf, Snowpiercer and who is also involved in the live-action from One piece.

The producer team Midnight Radio –Composed of André Nemec, Josh Appelbaum, Jeff Pinkner and Scott Rosenberg– are credited asshowrunners and executive producers. Half of the episodes were directed by the Argentine Alex Garcia Lopez (The witcher) and the other half by Michael Katleman (Zoo). Christopher Yost (Thor: Ragnarok; The Mandalorian) wrote the script for the pilot episode and is another executive producer.

Yasuo Miyakawa, Masayuki Ozaki and Shin Sasaki are involved in the creative process on behalf of Sunrise Inc. Additionally, the teacherShinichirō Watanabe works as a project consultant live-action and Yoko kanno He will return from the anime series to compose the music.

Cowboy bebop the next one will be released November 19th globally on Netflix. The series will consist of a total of 10 episodes, each lasting an approximate hour.
