The creators of the series anticipated a lot of karate for Cobra Kai season 5, but also some surprises in the story.

Netflix filmed simultaneously Cobra Kai seasons 4 and 5that’s why it’s only a matter of time for the streaming platform to reveal what the release date will be for the return of the series, which left us with an unexpected ending after the triumphant return of Terry Silver and the display of all its might.

The season 4 finale also left several characters on divided paths and new directions; and that was something that the creators of the show, Jon Hurwitz, Josh Heald and Hayden SchlossbergThey made it clear in a recent interview with dead linerevealing the first details about the upcoming episodes.

“In Season 4, everyone knew we were headed for a tournament; in season 5, no one knows where we’re headed. There is a lot of madness; if you’re a fan of the franchise, maybe some familiar faces will show up, maybe not; there will be a lot of karate. (…) The bad guys won in season 4, so there’s going to be a lot to pay for, whether there’s more hellfire or retribution. There are a lot of people hitting each other, kicking each other, but the story will unfold in a new way that no one can predict”, highlighted Hurwitz and Heald.

The end of the series is still uncertain. While the creators have plans to continue Cobra Kai beyond a season 6, the series’ storyline is already beginning to enter a cycle of exhaustion. There aren’t many nostalgia cards left to throw and if they don’t close it up to par, it could suffer Netflix’s guillotine and be canceled ahead of time.

The entry Cobra Kai begins to prepare the ground for its season 5 was first featured on AmericanMovies.
