After three seasons of the acclaimed show Daredevil, fans remain hopeful that the MCU will allow Briton Charlie Cox to play the intrepid masked man again. Currently the actor remains unconfirmed or denied that his debut within the Marvel Cinematic Universe is on the way. On the other hand, he affirms that it would be “great” to join the world of the Avengers at any time. And therefore, he prefers to be careful not to say something that hinders a possible contract with the House of Ideas.
This week, the journalist Scott king published an interview where he asks the actor how much he wants to no longer carry the burden of rumors and that “the answer” is already out. After giggling, Charlie Cox wanted to know specifically what the interviewer was referring to. And of course, the question was whether his version of Daredevil will debut in the MCU.
They don’t really bother me [los rumores], I really don’t tend to think about it too much. I’m only aware of when they ask me about it, ”said the Londoner. «Either way I don’t want to ruin anything for the fans«.
But what does Cox respond specifically to whether we will see him within the Marvel Cinematic Universe in the shoes of the Hell’s Kitchen vigilante? “My answer is that I have no comments”, he stressed in that talk. “I do not know what is going to happen. I really do not know”.
Rumors have been circulating for a long time that Matt Murdock (aka Daredevil) will make an appearance in the next Spider-Man: No Way Home. In early 2021, reports even came in that Charlie Cox was allegedly seen on the film’s set and that he did shoot some scenes in the role of the New York lawyer. However this information is not official yet.
On the other hand, something that worries Cox is making statements that may be counterproductive. Imagine a scenario in which someone like Kevin Feige (Marvel Studios boss) gets upset by some unfortunate comment from the actor and therefore closes the doors for good. Not that Cox acknowledges that there have been talks with the House of Ideas. He just refuses to jettison any chance of returning as Daredevil, but now in the MCU.
«If there is a possibility of that happening in the future, I do not want to say something that could jeopardize those possibilities.“Said Scott King. “The higher ups at Marvel may see these things or hear what I say and maybe that will play a role.”
And I add:
“I love how passionate the fans are and I am very, very, very touched that so many of them have gone online and made their voices heard about wanting me to return. Maybe it will happen in the future and that would be great. Who knows. We’ll see”.

With or without Matt Murdock, Spider-Man: No Way Home hit theaters in December 2021. Its stellar cast is made up of Tom Holland, Zendaya, Marisa Tomei, Jamie Foxx, Alfred Molina and Benedict Cumberbatch, among others.
The entry Charlie Cox fears losing any chance of being Daredevil in the MCU was first published in Cinema PREMIERE.
