A few days ago Kathleen Kennedy, the president of LucasFilms, assured that we would still see more of the characters we met in the last trilogy of Star wars. While for some that may represent bad news, some others consider that, despite the looseness of the stories, the characters themselves were somewhat memorable. To the good news of this sector, actor Adam Driver has just confessed in a timely manner that it would not seem like a bad idea to return to the skin of Kylo Ren.
While he is immersed in the promotion of the film Gucci’s house, the actor took advantage to chat about the multiple projects he has this year and incidentally the interviewer tried to find out if Driver has ever considered returning to the world created by George Lucas.
“No, I’m not totally against it,” he said about going back to Kylo Ren. «For me, it is a medium of filmmakers, so the only thing that interests me is working with great filmmakers. Whatever the size … it has never been interesting to me, up to a point. There are interesting things in working on both. I always follow people that I would be interested in working with, and if it would be suitable for the role, things like that. No, I’m definitely not reluctant.
The question that is positioned on the table in this case, is how to bring Driver back to the franchise. You surely remember that at the end of The rise of Skywalker, Ben Solo perishes in the final battle of the film. He sacrifices his life in service of something greater, which is to save Rey, who has the power of the force powerful enough to end once and for all with the evil Emperor and Lord of the Sith Darth Sidious.
While we are all thinking of seeing Daisy Ridley as Rey (Skywalker) again, or the audacious pilot Poe Dameron played by Oscar Isaac, surely Kylo Ren fans will want to see Adam Driver return as well.
Fortunately, if the saga has taught us something Star wars is that they never find limitations to bring back certain characters. It occurs to us that Ben Solo might return as a force ghost to advise Rey on her future adventures. Or maybe Disney manages to get him his own prequel show.
Either way Adam Driver is perhaps the most notable actor in the new group. Star wars. This year alone, she starred in three critical films and awards season. On The last duel by Ridley Scott Driver plays the knight Jacques Le Gris, who attempts on a married woman and must face a duel to the death with her husband during fourteenth-century medieval France.
On Annette by Léos Carax, he plays Henry, a monologue with a sour humor who is the scene of a famous world-famous singer. They both enjoy fame, their fortune and a life full of glamor, until their first daughter named Annette arrives, who will change their lives forever. It is an atypical musical that will hit the MUBi platform on November 26.
Finally this week premiered Gucci’s house, also from Ridley Scott. There he plays Maurizio Gucci, in a narrative that tells the true story behind the murder of the patriarch of the fashion family. Along with Lady Gaga, Al Pacino and Jared Leto, the actor prepares to get the odd nomination at the industry awards.
Meanwhile the world of Star Wars is about to return to the screens with the series Boba Fett’s book which will arrive via Disney Plus later this year.
The entry Adam Driver does not rule out returning as Kylo Ren in Star Wars was first published in Cinema PREMIERE.
